It also covers car body rebuilding, painting, and maintenance. The course is divided into two main areas which are diesel engine and gasoline engine subjects. Not all automobiles have the same fuel systems and that is the reason why it is so.

Apart from that, things about automobile and engine history, concepts, and principles are also to be discussed. Theoretical instructions comprise forty percent of the total number of hours of the training and the rest is spent for practical or for manual activities. It will take about three months for a student to complete the automotive mechanic training plus a month apprenticeship or On-the-job training. The OJT should be rendered in an establishment strongly related to automotive mechanic servicing.
