Refrigeration and Air Conditioning | RAC

Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or RAC is one of the newest courses being offered by CLHIDO. Having a good training in RAC ensures us bigger chances of being employed both locally and abroad. Aside from that, you may also go for self-employment and hire other aircon technicians to work with you.

RAC is an in demand course specially in highly developed countries. Countries with massive building constructions like Dubai and Saudi Arabia are in need of RAC technicians. Aside from air conditioning unit installation and troubleshooting in buildings and other structures, your skill can even be utilized to work with the automotive industry.

The only downside of having to enroll in this type of skills training is - there are too few schools or centers offering it. And if ever it is offered, it is way too expensive and many could not afford it. Others perhaps would volunteer to work in a RAC shop just to gain knowledge and skills in about a year or so. Such vocational course training is essential and that is why CLHIDO and Dumaguete City is reaching out to the community by offering such course.

RAC training at CLHIDO includes basic air conditioning unit motor re-winding, tube patching and soldering, pumping freon, troubleshooting refrigeration problems, cleaning the units, and so many other skills required for employment abroad. That is a great advantage for us.

The instructor for RAC is Mr. Cresente Mamac, a certified RAC technician. He specializes in industrial electronics and services which includes refrigeration and air conditioning. He has been affiliated both with Foundation University and the City Livelihood and Home Industries Development Office.
